Y no se calla el cantor

Y NO SE CALLA EL CANTOR

Siempre a Horacio Guarany,
desde niño escuché yo.
Tiempo y juventud perdí
y no se calló el cantor.

Perdí lo que conseguí:
cierta amistad, cierto amor.
Pudiente y pobre me vi
y no se calló el cantor.

En muchos pagos viví
patrios y del exterior.
Por mucho tiempo me fui
y no se calló el cantor

Y hoy me vienen a decir
que Guarany se murió.
Raro, porque canta en mí
y no se calla el cantor.
