THE WATER GUARDIAN

… under their ruby and diamond auras, shining blindingly, I saw them coming;
I took and wielded my rough Celtic tongue, and patience, and courage,
and light yet to be deciphered;
but with a burning heart I led them to the spring of living water,
and from him they drank;
[meanwhile, I watered my laurel,
moreover, I lit my oil lamp]
… we say goodbye, right next to the curb of the air,
where the most pure and white rose thrives,
where everything is a path and the worlds depart in all directions;
… I am watching over the virtue of water
and it is night;
the Archons of Fire drink at dawn.
