Karoline Goldberg

Memory

I remember you as you were last summer,

Exciting, interesting, undiscovered.

I remember your touch,

Soft, warm, tender

Your voice made the sweetest sounds,

With the tune as beautiful as the early birds song.

In your eyes I saw curiosity,

As they wandered over me.

I saw each question they asked

And I heard me giving answers.
By every word I said your eyes seemed to shine a little bit more,

Than they had done before.

You took me in your arms,

As I was already under your spell.

The flowers rose out of buds,

The sun beams broke through clouds.

The smiles grew into laughter,

Lonely turned to crowds.

We made the summer arrive,

With springs magic between our hearts,

We lighted days with out glow,

And nights with our sparks.

The autumn comes,

What remains is my memory,

And as the last leaf falls down,

The pain in me is set free.
