Sonja Nic Rafferty

Papillion

You said that I was your papillion
Exotic and colourful, a kaleidoscope.
Then again sparkling and
Delicate in the sunlight.
You couldn’t understand
That I leave you already.
What you didn’t realize, my love,
Even if everything breaks to pieces
Butterflies cannot be stopped.
