The red button

Black as the night, my feelings are falling down from the sky, eating the sun. Happiness is drown in the floods of my mourning and the sky isn’t blue anymore. Death has suddenly arrived and expelled high spirits. It's all in good cause. Or is it not?

I am a murderer. I butchered more man, woman and children than any other man before. But I did not raise a weapon. I didn’t even look in the eyes of my victims. I just pushed a button.

The red button in this cold office on this new spaceship where I am still sitting. I didn’t look out of the window. I know the planet is no more. I know I destroyed the planet I was born on. Tears are gathering in my eyes.

Black. I don’t want to see anything, anymore.

Payla – Die Goldinsel I von Pierre Heinen
