Natascha Sifnakis

Nightmares

The little girl with tiny shoulders,
But, oh, so much to bear...
She felt protected, then all alone,
For her no one was there...
Bad dreams plagued her night after night,
for many years to come...
With voices loud and only whispers,
They called her name, time and time again...
She felt torn and pulled from safety,
not enough of her to share...
On one side love and tenderness,
on the other no one, who would care...
