Meike Schrut

Old longings

When I wished something in writing, I did not know,
not even anticipated that the love of my life possibly escaped me.
Since his wish with another woman became true.
I loved him like a brother whom I might never have.
When he forgot as by chance to give me the hand, this surprised me very much.
Have I decided to never see again him, him whom I already loved in the heart?
Laughing with my son spoke who wanted to have him to the father what never happened?
If we exile certain people from our life, they have sometimes earned it, but that whose graves one does not visit because they have of nobody:
those will live on for all time in us up to the Day of Judgement.
Oh, I forgot: Jesus, in this do not believe I, nevertheless.
Permit to me that I prefer the Egyptian God Osiris, that is even more interesting, I need this.
