Enthusiasm

To get the fullest joy
out of life
you must cultivate
a spirit of enthusiasm.
A genius,
we are told,
is one who retains
the enthusiasm of a child.
He sees old things always
with new interest.
When your day’s work is over
you must cultivate
this child-like spirit
of adventure,
this `what next` attitude,
the eager, anticipatory spirit.
A keen sense of humour
is one of your most valuable
conversational assets.
