Claudio Micale

Vunerability

A cup of coffee
A slice of ham
A pot of milk.

I'm sitting in the morning café.

Music's playing.
Manager planning.
Couples talking.

At the rim of the counter.

People are stirring.
Waiting maids flushing.
Life's buzzing.

I stir my coffee.

Workers are going.
Businessmen coming.
Cash changes hands.

I'm sick of the coffee.

Leaving the café I feel lonely.
The business was heavy.
But loneliness is worse.

On my way home I can feel it.
