Sabine Stemmler

On July 6th

They asked me: “What do you want for your birthday,
On July, 6th“
I smiled at them
I told them “I donīt know“
But I lied
I do know
Very Well

I want you to tell me “I love You“

Not because you feel guilty
Because of the promises you made
Because of the money you received
But because you really care
Because you really want me by your side
Because you really want to hold me tight again
Because you really miss me...

Because you really do love me!

But I guess this wish will not become true
Though itīs the only one I have

And so I go on smiling
Go on pretending
Go on telling them:
“I dont know
What I want for my birthday“

Though I still hope for a miracle

On July, 6th...
