Justine Knolle

Separation

Divided by ten metres,
Or rather,
Two floors.
I wonder,
Do you still slam the drawers?
And would you like my mug?
You know the Branston Pickle?
Oh, I know I am annoying,
Capricious, fierce and fickle.
You have my chain, my charm, a hairclip,
Tightening and loosening your literary grip.

Now:

It is time.
The Moon is down.
I shall wear your love like a jewel, a sparkling crown.
It is time.
The tide is high.
It is time.
To say goodbye.
