Elisabeth Heilos
things that shine
your eyes, tenderly smiling,
even though, you cannot see: it's your heart,
that's mirrored inside this
soft, caramellized brown.
the pearls you lay around your neck,
your fingers, your wrists, your ankles,
as fine, as delicate,
as a shell could possibly yield.
the way you're enlightening
every single moment, every memory, and yet
my life - even though you're gone.
- and the tears that i cry, because i'm missing you so.
