Bill Piccolo

obscurity

Obscurity

I’ve fallen into

the kindness of

an open window

out of sight

now out of mind

impassioned by the thoughtless kind

of tree that loses all its leaves

or wave that rolls across the seas

any color that you please

could never change the way I miss

the sweetness hidden in your kiss

the subtle softness of your lips

laid gently on this summer breeze

that brings me home once again
