Declaration of Love

America, my lovely
inviting with your wide,
wide plains and skies above me
when in your heart I ride.

America, my beauty,
you just and righteous bride
so vigilant in duty,
so vicious in your pride.

When planes fell from the sky
and all the world fell quiet
behind the seas of rhye,
the heroes covered white
where ivory towers fell.
In anguish we unite
and sound a silent knell.

It tore into your heart,
ripped innocence apart.
Remember, as you fight:
two wrongs don't make a right.

America, my lovely
I always will remember
the tears shed in September
and hold your hand.
Beloved land.
