Iris Feller

Little “I“

Who are you, little “I”?

I SOOTHE YOU WHEN YOU CRY
I’M THE ONLY ONE YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON
I’M STILL THERE WHEN THE OTHERS ARE GONE

But where are you, little “I”?

YOU CAN FEEL ME WHEN YOU SIGH
I HELP YOU TO FORGET YOUR FEARS
YOUR HEART WON’T CRY NO TEARS
THERE’S ALWAYS A WAY OUT
NOT EVERYTHING’S WRAPPED UP IN A SHROUD

Little “I”, I know you must be someone great
You’re the one who eases ones fate
I’m grateful that you’re my friend
I want you to stay until the end

Little “I”, please tell me your name
And finish your mysterious game

I’VE GOT AS MANY NAMES
AS FIRE HAS GOT FLAMES:
LOVE, WISHES, DREAMS AND HOPE
I’M THE FALLING WORLDS ROPE
