Fergal Dunne

Beetle Genocide

She was an
Eco warrior, I was a Paul Weller fan.
We went walking in
The countryside. She spotted a rare beetle,
I don’t know what made it
Rare, I wasn’t listening,
Perhaps it had an extra leg
Or something. I tried to get closer, fell awkwardly
And killed it. I think I killed several.
She gave me a funny look.
I never joined green peace.
It didn’t last
I’m still a Paul Weller fan.
