I am a child of love.
My father is not in heaven above.
He’s not dead, he’s not deceased –
he lives on earth and is a priest.
I’m not allowed to say his name,
the church considers me a shame.
The love between two people cost
my happiness - and I feel lost.
Other people call him Father
They hold his hand, give him a kiss.
With me – he does not bother
and no one sees
how much I miss.
It’s not in order, it’s not right
to push a child like me aside.
So, God in Heaven, help me fight
and give a priest the right
to live a human life again –
AMEN
