Marco Talisman

I love the night

I love the dark, I love the night
That time of day devoid of light
I love the soulless, abandoned streets
Its sightless eyes, its mindless stare
I love the silence it always keeps
The darkness ‘round the air

With night’s arrival and day’s departure
I’m enthralled in moonlight’s rapture
The dancing shadows so full of sadness
The sparkling stars up in the sky
The lonely crow that flies regardless
I love it all
                                     I wonder why.
