Dorsey Baker

No Rainy Forecast

We call the rain
but it don't come
we only
see the sun
its hot as hell
aint no water
down in the wishing well

Farmers losing their animals
and their crops
keep looking for the rain
but never drops

But God sends us
what we need
enough food
our families to feed

And I know this God of mine
will send us rain
in his own good time
