Winter Day

Looking out of my window
I glance upon an
endless sea of snow,
where groves stick out
like dark islands.

Woods seem like
the blue shape
of a far coast,
sometimes hidden
in morning mist.

The sky is a grey surface
without any answer for me.
Sometimes this silence
is torn for minutes.

White stars soar down,
dancing in blue air
and stripes of light
are reflected in windows.

Forgotten seem all
autumn colours to me.
Bushes wear round caps,
shining in winter light.

Awaking in the morning,
you see e curtain of snow,
in evening the day disappears
in a grey ring of silence.

Wintertag

Schaue ich aus dem Fenster
entdecke ich ein
endloses Flockenmeer,
in dem Haine sich wie
dunkle Inseln ausnehmen.

Wälder gleichen einem
fernen, blauen Küstensaum,
stellenweise im Morgendunst
verborgen.

Der Himmel ist eine graue Fläche
ohne jegliche Antwort für mich.
Manchmal wird die Stille
minutenlang unterbrochen.

Weiße Sterne schweben herab,
tanzend in blauer Luft, und
Lichtstreifen spiegeln
sich in Fensterscheiben.

Vergessen scheinen
mir alle Herbstfarben.
Büsche tragen runde Kappen,
schimmernd im Winterlicht.

Bei morgendlichem Erwachen
Sieht man einen Schneevorhang,
abends entschwindet der Tag
in einem grauen Ring aus Stille.
