Don't Tell Me Who I Am

Don’t tell me

what I should and shouldn’t do.

I understand

that I make mistakes.

There is

no way to fix me.

Change

will not make me more successful.

Pressure

will only frustrate me.

Consequences

will just de-motivate me.

I hate people

who judge.

They think

they’re different, better.

But they’re not.

We’re all the same.

I am who I am.

I will do what I do

and say what I say.

If you care for me

then you will get it.

If you’re ignorant

then so be it.

But then just go.

I know I’ve made mistakes.

I know I’m not perfect.

Don’t judge me

for wanting to be spontaneous at times.

Don’t judge me

for embracing my differences.

I am who I am.

I want to do the right thing.

but I also want to follow my heart.

Sometimes

the decisions that I make

are worth making.

Even when I know

that there could be repercussions.
