Neven Dreyfuß

crossing of a quaint tall sea

I'm free - I'm freezing from all this roaring misery
I'm lee - I'm leaving old places like a ship leaves a city
And we - and weeping in silence until deep in the night
And we - and wielding skies that are whirring bright
To sea - to seething waters that I am heading to
To see - to seal my heart that's turned maritime blue

The more - the morning rises and I'm floating away
The more - the mortgage of love still has to be payed
So you - so youth is the fire that burns until she awakes
Now you - now huge clouds attend me to where my ship breaks
The new - the news of her new life will never reach me
The new - the newly found horizons will show that I'm free
