Bernhard Pappe

Rather go blind

Rather go blind
Blind for the world
Blind for myself
No mirror image any longer
All images are gone
I’m gone
Walking on unknown ways
Beside all knows paths
Beneath all known lanes
No darkness
All brightness is here
But light is like a fog
No shapes of things
The way in front is unclear
The way behind is unclear
Is there a point of return
No option standing still
Monotonous landscapes
I turn in hope of a way
A way to come in
A way to walk out
Whatever it is
At the end
I walk along…
