Rolph David

IT'S HALLOWEEN, BOO-HOO!

In the dead of night when the moon hangs high,
And eerie winds whisper, a ghostly sigh,
The pumpkins twist, their faces contort,
From jolly smiles to a grim, dark sort.

Skeletons roam, the streets they tread,
Knocking on doors with bones of dread,
Children vanish in old, creaky abodes,
Where tricks turn treats on haunted roads.

Ghosts flutter by, mischief in their wake,
Loud, eerie howls, in fog they make,
Zombies lurking, their steps a dance,
In shadows they move, as if in a trance.

Pennywise, the clown of fears untamed,
Draws folks in, their souls he's claimed,
To his underworld, a darkened space,
Where doom entices with a haunting embrace.

Halloween's veil, a night so spooky,
Where the strange and dire play oh so kooky,
A realm of fright, where the chill sets in,
In this macabre waltz, where fear will win.
